In Progress

From the twin cranes at Block 9 to the ribbon-cutting on a new Fargo City Hall, downtown Fargo’s progress is showing. Nearly two decades into its renaissance, it’s now a lively and growing hub for entrepreneurs, creatives, and locally-rooted, thriving businesses.

State of Downtown

Downtown Fargo is home to historic buildings that tell our stories and many new mixed-use projects that illustrate our future.  Since the launch of the Renaissance Zone and the redesign of Broadway in 1999, the value of downtown property has increased from $150 million to over $600 million in 2018. The momentum is spreading as more people are choosing to live and work in a walkable, urban environment.

Downtown InFocus Plan

The downtown InFocus plan is a commitment by the City of Fargo to strategically invest in downtown Fargo. Hundreds of local voices shaped this plan: downtown neighbors, employees, businesses, artists, community organizations, institutions, students, visitors, grassroots activists, City staff and leadership, and downtown champions. Their words and ideas populate this vision for downtown Fargo.
